There are never enough words to describe the pure JOY on the first day of every visit to Christ Community Lutheran School - Kawete, Uganda!!!!! The children were out in full force even though it's Saturday. They greeted us with cheers and running along side the bus as we turned the corner to the school. It's a little slice of Heaven!!!

The team hopped off the bus into the arms of warm, loving children, ready to accept all of us with complete happiness. We were toured through the compound then treated to some entertainment by the school children. A warm welcome from the Head Mistress and the LCU Bishop were included in the introduction of the team.

We walked to the local open air market to take in the sites and smells and purchase the goats to be gifted to the 40 Primary school graduates tomorrow after church. On the walk back with goats in tow, we greeted the villagers with smiles and waves. One woman exclaimed over and over, "webale, webale" which means "thank you, thank you!"

After organizing the clinic and supplies needed for the week's Bible studies and activities, we played, danced and visited until it was time to leave until tomorrow. We will participate in the church service through our singing and celebrate the newly graduated Primary 7 students with the gift of a goat and a feast for all.

Jeanette was the guest speaker for a conference for some pastor's wives all day while the rest of the team went to Kawete. We missed her on the first day but know she was called to serve these women in this special way. Thanks to her for spending her day "feeding" the women!

Thank you for all of the prayers and support!
